2010 has been the most extraordinary year for Polyglot. We premiered a new work, had 154 performances and two creative developments, created three new roving characters, delivered 116 workshops, undertook nine Victorian tours and seven international tours, including a tour to the Royal National Theatre in London, reaching a total of 101,239 people. We also won two AbaF awards for our annual giving program and partnership with Web Prophets. And there's still a few weeks to go!
2011 will be another ambitious and fun-filled year for Polyglot. We are celebrating the 10th Anniversary of two of our iconic shows; We Built This City will have a spectacular season in Melbourne, while Muckheap will be translated into two different languages. We will debut another new work, Tangled Web, embark on a City of Riddles Victorian theatres tour, and launch the Australia-Korea year of friendship in Seoul. And that’s just the first few months!
We wish all our friends and supporters a great break and hope you remember that cardboard boxes are much more fun than the presents they so often contain. |

| We Built This City: 10th Anniversary in Melbourne |
We kick off the New Year with the 10th anniversary of our most enduring work, We Built This City. This international touring show has inspired over 40 000 children playing with over 150 000 cardboard boxes over the last 10 years. To date, the work has travelled to the Royal National Theatre in London, Scotland, Cumbria, Ireland, Singapore, and the Kennedy Center in USA. At last we bring the show back to Melbourne with a week of free performances at the Arts Centre.

| Tangled Web at ArtPlay |
Our new work Tangled Web premieres at ArtPlay in March 2011. It is a huge, messy, fun, interactive elastic weaving event created live by children and their families. It’s part mass visual arts installation, part performance, part play ground, part dance party and all chaos.
