PolyglotNews

The month of May takes Polyglot Puppet Theatre overseas, with Singapore welcoming the company back with a season of The Big Game at the Singapore Arts Festival. Polyglot has toured to Singapore many times over the years, taking Tooth and Claw in 2007, We Built This City in 2002 and 2004, and Muckheap in 2002. Those who saw The Big Game at the Melbourne International Arts Festival, National Gallery of Victoria or at the Awesome Festival in Perth last year know what a treat the children of Singapore are in for.

We've posted a new video online following Polyglot puppeteer Heath McIvor's artist's residency at Epic Arts, Kampot, Cambodia at the end of last year - we plan for this to be

the start of an ongoing relationship Watch the video here.

At last Check Out! has finished its extensive 57 day tour across 4,834 kilometres to 21 Victorian theatres as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Check Out!'s review in the Herald Sun (April 17 2009) described the show was "surreal" and "thrillingly funny" which "had kids squealing with glee". Our thanks to all who came and enjoyed.

Also we're excited to announce that Hissy Fit returns for the July School holidays, with a free season of performances at the BMW Edge as part of Puppets at Fed Square.

We have loads of other exciting things on the boil... keep your eyes peeled to the news desk at polyglotpuppets.com.au to make sure you find them out first.

We have ten double passes to see Is Anybody There?
Is Anybody There?
tells the story of Edward, a somewhat unusual ten year old boy growing up in an old people’s home run by his parents. Edward’s rather isolated life is shaken up when he meets Clarence (Michael Caine), a retired magician with a liberating streak of anarchy who brings some old-fashioned fun to Edward’s lonely existence.
